A lot of people get uncomfortable at the mention of the word GIVE. This is simply because we have limited giving to being only of tangible things.
The question then is, can’t we also give the INTANGIBLE? Of cause we can. In fact in my own perspective that’s the most sacrificing way to give. You can give love to friends, family and even those who are love starved such as the destitute. You can also give a kind word, a gracious word, a word of encouragement that will impact grace to the heart of the listener. And you can also give a smile. There are so many people whose countenance will be mended by just a smile from you, so many are in pain and it will talk just a smile to bring them out of it. So you can also give a smile. The list of the things we can give is endless, you can give a godly counsel, act of kindness, you can also give JESUS.
When we give willingly and without any payment in return, it’s called A GIFT.
So if giving is not only portrayed in the tangible things that can be touched but also in the supposedly little and intangible things, then we can be partakers of Acts 20:35
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
So pick a pen and in your diary write out 3 intangible things you can give to the people God has blessed you with and with every passing day, chose to be the MORE BLESSED by giving something to someone. Say I’M THE MORE BLESSED BECAUSE I’M A GIVER.
